Piraeus Bank ranks for 2018 at level “Management B” (scale from A + to D-).

Piraeus Bank reports to CDP annually environmental data related to greenhouse gas emissions, climate change strategy and actions.

CDP, an independent non-profit organization, assesses the environmental impact management of companies etc., and presents the results to international investors.
Piraeus Bank is a constituent of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index of FTSE Russel Group (extra financial rating agency) with an overall ESG Rating Score 3.6/5 (2018).

Oekom Research, one of the largest research and rating agencies in the world in the field of responsible investments, in January 2018, upgraded Piraeus Bank’s performance on Corporate Responsibility to the level C- medium (on a scale from A+ to D-). Piraeus Bank’s performance is above the average of the 253 companies of the financial sector that are evaluated, of which none has been rated above C+.

In 2018 and 2019, Piraeus Bank received a rating of BBB (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment, which positively assessed the strong Corporate Governance structures and robust practices for protecting the interests of the Bank's customers.

ISS Corporate Solutions
Piraeus Bank received the highest score of “1 - HIGHER DISCLOSURE” from ISS Corporate Solutions, both in the environmental and the social pillar (“Environmental & Social Quality Score”), compared to the global banking industry (as of May 2018). The score indicates the excellent identification and management of the relevant environmental and social risks and transparent disclosure practices.
Piraeus Bank received two prominent international awards at the Loyalty Magazine Awards 2018 for the Yellow Rewards Program: a) "Best Loyalty Programme of the Year - Financial Services"; and b) "Regional Loyalty Champion of the Year - Central & Eastern Europe incl. Russia & Turkey".

Piraeus Bank received the highest award of “Performance Brand of the Year” at the Peak Performance Marketing Awards 2018. In the same competition for the most effective and innovative communication campaigns, the Bank received four other distinctions.

In the top 5 CEOs of the largest European banks featured the CEO of Piraeus Bank Christos Megalou during the vote of the Extel Survey 2018 in which participated over 11,300 executives of banks, investment companies and business of financial sector from 88 countries of the world. The Investor Relations of Piraeus Bank received significant distinction, ranking first among all Greek businesses and ninth among 128 European banks.
With a total of 14 awards, Piraeus Bank excelled in the Ermis Awards 2018, the institution that rewards excellence in strategy, creativity and communication effectiveness. In addition, Piraeus Bank is the first organization to be honored in 2018 for the first time with the Creative Bravery Award as the most “daring” advertiser for the bravery in its communication.

Piraeus Bank's technological leadership was confirmed through a number of distinctions within the Impact Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards 2018. Specifically, a top performance award in the "Transformation of Business Processes" category for the implementation of the new "e-loan by winbank" service, as well as in the "Electronic Cooperation / Electronic Pricing" category for the specialized software platform "rapid LINK". An award of excellence to the "Web based Trade Finance" service, which was evaluated under the category "New Services & Business Model Transformation". An excellent performance in the "Business and ICT Linking" category for the new “Small Business & Agricultural Affordability & Treatment Tool” and finally, the top distinction Grand Award.
Piraeus Bank's Yellow Loyalty Program received a total of 5 awards at the Loyalty Awards 2018 to highlight best practices in rewarding and customer loyalty.

Piraeus Bank received from Global Custodian, the highly respected publication in the international securities services arena, the Global Excellence Award in the area of Relationship Management and Client Services.
