Deutsche Bank awarded Piraeus Bank the “2015 EUR & USD STP Excellence Awards” in 2016.










Piraeus Bank participated in the Corporate Responsibility Institute’s annual assessment (CR Index), receiving the Platinum distinction for the fifth consecutive year and the Platinum Progress Award.







The leading publication in the international professional securities services arena has granted Piraeus Bank Custody & Securities Services the prestigious Award for Excellence in Relationship Management (Agent Banks in Major Markets Global Excellence Awards 2016 | Relationship Management), as a result of the annual survey conducted by Global Custodian.
Piraeus Bank’s 2016 CDP score is “Management B”, improved by two levels. Piraeus Bank is the only Greek bank at this level, verifying the initiatives undertaken to tackle climate change as well as the actions to integrate climate risk and opportunity in its core business.









Piraeus Bank is a constituent of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index of FTSE Russel Group (extra financial rating agency) with an overall ESG Rating Score 2.8/5 (2016).













In 2016 Piraeus Bank was awarded the first prize at national level in the "European Business Awards for the Environment 2016" of the European Union, in the "Management" category for its Environmental Management System (EMS).
For the same award institution and the same category, Piraeus Bank’s EMS received a distinction at the European level as one of the four best practices.
The LIFE-Stymfalia project also received a distinction in the “Business and Biodiversity” category.
Piraeus Bank has qualified for inclusion in RobecoSAM’s 2016 Sustainability Yearbook, following its selection as an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Emerging Markets. The Sustainability Yearbook has listed the world’s most sustainable companies in each industry as determined by their score in RobecoSAM’s annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment. Piraeus Bank’s inclusion in the 2016 Sustainability Yearbook means that it is within the top 15% of the banking industry worldwide and is one of the 37 banks that were finally included in the Yearbook. Piraeus Bank is the only company based in Greece to be listed in the Yearbook.

"Citi’s 2016 Performance Excellence Award" has been awarded to Piraeus Bank for its Exceptional Performance in USD (US Dollars) Payments!  Piraeus Bank has been recognized by Citibank for its excellence in USD payments by achieving an exceptionally high automation rate of 99.2% in the USD commercial payments. USD payments are vital for various important economic sectors in Greece, second only to euro.  Piraeus Bank’s excellence in payments is a commitment to improve the already very high percentage of STP payments and the quality of service offered to its valued customers.

Piraeus Bank is the only Greek Bank to receive a Diamond distinction for its Corporate Responsibility by the Corporate Responsibility Institute. Piraeus Bank participated in the Institute’s annual assessment (CR Index) for the 9th year.














Piraeus Bank is included in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register, following the Forum ETHIBEL announcement. This selection by Forum Ethibel indicates that the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility performance is above average in the banking sector.









Piraeus Bank was awarded the BRAVO ENVIRONMENT award at the BRAVO SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS 2017, for its Environmental Management System and the European co-funded project, Life-Stymfalia.











Piraeus Bank program climate action project, entitled “Financial Institutions: Preparing the Market for Adapting to Climate Change” climabiz has been selected as one of the 15 most outstanding LIFE projects, out of a total of 4,300 projects which have been implemented in the last 25 years, since the beginning of the EU LIFE program. The European Commission's “Green Awards” Ceremony was held in Brussels on 30 May in the context of the 2017 Green Week entitled “Green Jobs for a Greener Future”.
