Piraeus Bank is the only Greek company included in the Financial Times list of "Europe's Climate Leaders" in 2022, for the second consecutive year, regarding its performance in the climate change management.

2019 awards

Piraeus Bank was awarded for another year by the by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in the framework of the Trade Facilitation Programme, receiving all the distinctions of the specific programme. In particular, Piraeus received the awards of the «Most Active Issuing Bank in Greece in 2021», the «Most Active Issuing Bank in 2021 – Green Trade» and the «Deal of the Year in 2021 – Green Trade».

Piraeus Bank’s yellow Rewards Program received three top international awards in the context of the International Loyalty Awards 2022, the largest institution of its kind at an international level.

Among more than 200 nominations that claimed the 26 awards of the event, Piraeus Bank was awarded for yellow in the following categories:

  • International Best Financial Services Loyalty Program or Initiative
  • Ιnternational Best B2B Loyalty Program
  • Regional Winner/Western Europe – Highly Commended all over categories of the region.

Piraeus Financial Holdings is once again a constituent of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index of FTSE Russell, for its performance in the areas of environment, society and governance (ESG). The overall score of Piraeus is higher than the average score of banks and the financial sector worldwide, in all three pillars (ESG).

Piraeus Bank's Digital Banking was distinguished internationally at the Best Digital Bank Awards 2022, a competition for highlighting the best Digital Banking services worldwide by the internationally prestigious American magazine Global Finance. In particular, winbank was awarded for the winbank mobile application, winning the title “The Best Mobile Banking App in Western Europe for 2022 (Consumer)”.
