Approval by the Board of Directors of the revised Environmental Policy, emphasizing green banking and sustainable development.

Adoption by the BoD of the Strategy on Climate Change.

Designation of Green Banking Advisors in selected branches throughout Greece to provide specialized consulting services for green business.

Appointment of a member of the BoD as responsible for environmental issues.

Initiation of Climabiz (2010 – 2012), the second co-funded LIFE European project of Piraeus Bank.

Appointment of an Environmental Management Coordinator in every branch and administration building.

Training of 2,500 employees on green banking issues.
