Piraeus Bank shall be the Grand Sponsor of the European Champion for the four years to follow, supporting by all means the Greek National Football Team both at defending its title at UEFA Euro 2008TM as well as meeting the challenges of FIFA World Cup 2010TM and UEFA Euro 2012TM tournament games.
Enhancing and extending cooperation with the Hellenic Football Federation on the one hand seals the excellent relationship established between Piraeus Bank and the Greek National Football Team as well as its successful course so far, while on the other hand, confirms the interest and the substantial investment of the Bank to Greek Football, in products and services for the Greek sports fans.
At the press conference which was held today at the "King George Palace" hotel, the enhancement and continuation of the sponsorship was officially announced, in presence of Piraeus Bank executives and HFF representatives, the federal coach Mr. Otto Rechagel, as well as football players of the Greek National Team.
On the part of the Grand Sponsor of the Greek National Football Team, the Chairman of Piraeus Bank Group Mr. Michalis Sallas stressed, among other, that the decision for the new sponsorship agreement was made cordially. We all in Piraeus Bank share the same vision with the Greek National Football Team. We believe that hard work and joint action bring the best results, as in 2004 in Portugal. We all wish our National Football Team to be equally successful in Euro 2008 in a few days.
