Piraeus Bank, consistent with its contribution to the national effort to boost sports, is proud to announce its co-operation with the Greek National Football Team as an Official Sponsor of the Greek National Football Team. It will assist the efforts of the Men’s National Team, EURO 2004 champion, as well as the Junior Men’s National Team, for further success and distinctions at international level.
At the press conference on the co-operation between Piraeus Bank and the National Football Team, which was held today, Mr. Demotes Kounelakis, management advisor on promotion and communication, underscored the importance attached to sports by the Bank and business world for the country's international promotion as well as communication and co-operation among peoples. He also stressed the part played by sports in the education of young people, which is of interest to any large financial organization aspiring at a bright future and even more so to Piraeus Bank, which is a modern and fast growing bank.
The National Football Team sponsorship by Piraeus Bank is associated with two new challenges faced by the European Champions: The 2005 Confederations Cup and the 2006 World Cup Qualification. Piraeus Bank will stand by our international footballers and Greek fans throughout this course offering new services and products specifically developed in the framework of this co-operation.
