Piraeus Bank resumes the credit card balance transfer programme in 2003. This programme enables other banks' credit card holders to transfer their credit balance to a Piraeus Bank credit card, thus taking advantage of a unique offer. Balance transfer to a Piraeus Bank credit card benefits from an interest rate of only 8.8% applicable for the entire repayment period of the transferred amount. This way, Piraeus Bank offers everyone substantial benefit from transferring their credit balances, with an offer that does not run for a limited period.
This decision is part of an integrated programme for the development of new service methods and reward of both new and existing Piraeus Bank credit card holders. For existing credit card holders, the Bank operates rewarding programmes through which credit card holders may win luxurious gifts and reduce their credit card's interest rate to 13.50% (for Piraeus Visa Classic and Piraeus MasterCard owners) and to 12.50% for Piraeus Visa Gold holders and the Bank's Mortgage Loan customers, which are the lowest in the market.
